Patty Kaleta you sexy little sunnovabitch!
Ridiculous. That was what a friend of mine texted me after the game last night and me thinks it wraps up the entire evening quite well.  Of course it does not mean ridiculous in a negative sense, but rather the intense level of events we witnessed take place.  Acrobatic goaltending? Check. Down and Dirty Defense? Check.  Several heart stopping moments? Check and OMG check. It was like having the longest anxiety attack of my life.  I was sweating, having trouble breathing, and you could see the pint of beer shaking in my hand.  If the rest of this series continues like this, I'm going to need a cot or strecher available at all times in case I need to lie down. Then again, I need to be ready for my eruprion of high-fives when the Sabres score a huge goal. Either way, this cannot be good for my health.  All the beer and whiskey probably isn't helping either.

Which by the way, the beer and whiskey flowed like wine last night, but the women did not instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.  Get on board ladies!!!  But honestly, it was a solid turnout at Kinsale Tavern.  The game was playing on Six flatscreens WITH sound and there was Sabres gear at every head turn.  After writing my post yesterday about the importance of fans watching games together, it was refreshing to see everyone there hanging out, boozin' it up, and having a collective heart-attack together. CHEERS if you were there, SHAME if you were not!  Just kidding, I still love you....except you Yachtsman.  A real job where you get paid for a living is NO excuse for missing that game.

Excuse me Mr. Vanek. That's a lovely accent you have, New Jersey?
Stay tuned for details on Saturday's meet-up for the game.  I will be in Philly....for a an engagement party....that starts at the same time as puck-drop (shoot me in the face), but I am sure the Yachtsman and Apologist will have a crowd ready to rock somewhere.  Keep checking back tonight or tomorrow morning for an update.  You can also keep an eye out on our twitter feed @DGWUsports or the deargodwhyussports facebook group page.  I cannot wait to join everyone again for Monday night's game.  Also, if you need don't do the whole social media thing, you can e-mail us at deargodwhyussports@gmail.com.

Finally, I'd like to thank my dear old friend Kevin Smith from the NYC Sabres Backers for giving us a shout out in his playoff e-mail chain.  Looks like we are your point-people for Sabres Playoff hockey in NYC folks, so you have nothing to worry about (insert evil laugh here). WAAAAAAARPAAAAAAAAAATH!!!!!!!
