The Yachtsman
Illustrious Buffalo News contrarian Jerry Sullivan has an interesting column up in this weekend's Sports Edition. He says it's about time Edwards picks up the slack. As many of you may or may not know, I am a huge Sullivan supporter (one of three in the entire Buffalo News readership). I think Sullivan is correct, but it's still amazing to me that it's Trent's third year, and it's make or break time for him already. I mean, weren't we just freaking out about picking up an undersized, weak-armed, injury prone QB out of a garbage school with our 3rd round pick?!? Where have the years gone?!? We at DGWUS think Trent will pull through, given the weapons and the increased stoutness up front. Throw us a comment if you agree or disagree (we would put a poll up but we're not that well versed in the HTMLing yet).
Also, on a serious note, and to echo Scizz's comments, I am deeply sorrowed by the loss of former Bills quarterback Jack Kemp. Although the K-Gun Bills were glorious and entertaining, Jack Kemp brought championships and validity to a burgeoning NFL franchise. He also gave back to WNY for 9 consecutive terms in Congress after his successful career with the Bills. My thoughts are with the Kemp family, and here's hoping the Bills can honor his memory this year by winning a championship and firing Dick Jauron.
