Gobble
The Scizz
As some of you avid readers may remember, during the exciting Sabres off-season, I did some hard hitting journalistic research to see what many of our current and former Sabres players were up to in their lives. It took hours upon hours of phone calls, e-mails, long road trips, and preparing legal documentation in order to construct the posts known as
"Buffalo Sabres: Where Are They Now?". Also, that's all a lie and it took only about an hour of compiling tweets from fellow bloggers, and making up several more on my own. But we're a blog, so who gives a shit, right?
After the success of that series (which shall return one day), I decided to ask for some help from a few fellow bloggers again in discovering what many current and former Sabres are thankful for this holiday season. I should also note that I was going to do this with WGR employees, but most comments required them becoming red dots on a Google map, so I decided to pass for several legal reasons.

Bro
Derek Roy: "Bro's, beers, Chippewa, bro's, Jersey Shore, Kangol hats, bro's, and that sport I play that allows for me to spend money and bro out with my bro's, bro."
James Patrick: "I'm thankful I wasn't 'the guy who hit the post' just before Hull scored in '99. Nah, he hit the crossbar. Cliche avoided." -

Head West, my son

John Rigas: "Soap on a rope" - The Barrister
Tyler Myers: "A chance to catch up on some reading. And by reading I mean play NHL '12 with the offsides turned off."

FOOOOOOLED YOUUUUUUUU!
Ville Leino: "Terry Pegula. And money. Lots of money"
Tim Connolly: "That I'm not Ville Leino. Also, drug mules." -

Dreamy
Matt Ellis: "Those lovely flowers, chocolates, and cards my secret admirer keeps sending me. Except the one written in blood."
T.J. Brennan: "Broken wrists and upper-body injuries."
Dominik Hasek: "Skinny Jeans and orthopedics."
Harry Neale: "I'm thankful for....um....uh....what was the question? And what am I doing in my garage?"
Rick Jeannerret: "Gin....and tonic. Gin and tonic. Gin and toniiiiiiics"

Stand up guy
Andrej Sekera: "The ability to play hockey without a spine."
Darcy Regier: "I'm thankful for second chances. And third, fourth, and fifth chances."

I'm actually 12
Nathan Gerbe: "My giant balls....and tall chicks with big cans. Best. Sightline. Ever."

Stay Classy
Matthew Barnaby: "I'm thankful for women who listen."
Thomas Vanek: "My new captain, Jason Pominville. Just kidding! Kevin Lowe. And money. Lots of money."
There you have it. If you happen to have any contact with current or former Sabres, feel free to find out what they are thankful for and post it in the comments. Happy Thanksgiving from the Deeg!
