The Apologist
As you'll all come to learn in the days to come, I'm all about the small victories in a season. The way I see it, you have to look for the little wins when you root for the teams we root for. And yesterday, one of our favorite teams to hate, the Philadelphia Flyers, handed us a doozy. There they were four minutes into the second period, up three on their interstate rivals, thanks in part to former SoHo regular Daniel Briere (1 goal, 1 assist), looking to send the series back to Pittsburgh for the two sweetest words in any hockey fans' dictionary... Game Seven. And then Flyers fans got to sit there and watch Marty Biron give up five goals. Hooray! (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)
